Our team is made up of Christian mental health professionals including psychiatrists, psychologists, and counselors. The majority of our team have lived or served cross-culturally. We understand the unique challenges that face you, and we are honored to guide you through your process of Healing, Equipping, Aligning, and Struggling Well!

Amber, LCMHC-A
Amber has been a practicing mental health counselor since 2006. Married to Didi (a pastor and native Hong Konger) and mom to three boys, Amber has worked in both private-practice and ministry contexts.
Amy, LPC
Amy has had an interest in international service from an early age. She spent five years serving in East Asia where she developed an appreciation for the need for member care.
Brandon, M.D.
Brandon is a native of Oklahoma & Kansas, attended undergraduate & professional school in Rochester, NY, and trained & practiced General Surgery before training in Psychiatry. He has lived abroad in England and New Zealand.
Danielle, LCPC, NCC
Danielle is a licensed clinical professional counselor, alcohol and drug use counselor, and supervisor in the state of Maryland.
David, LCMHC
David has been working as a counselor with children and families since 1998. He is married to Inger and they have three young adult children. David and his family spent about 12 years living internationally.
Erica, LCSW
Since earning a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois in 1993, Erica has focused on counseling women, families, and couples in a private counseling practice and working at the Minirth-Meier New Life Clinic and the Peace River Center.
Erin, LPC
Erin is married and together with her husband, raised their children abroad for a good portion of their childhood. Now she and her husband are enjoying the next generation, as they now have some grandchildren.
Jarrod, M.D.
Jarrod lives in Texas, where he completed his child and adult psychiatry training. He currently splits his time between his private practice, a psychiatric emergency department, and his work with Valeo.
Jen, APC
Jennifer has been a full-time global worker since 2006, serving in a variety of capacities and settings in east and central Africa. She is currently based in Uganda. She began her career as a nurse, first in the NICU in the US, then in a maternal and child health program in rural Africa.
Jo, M.D.
Jo has been caring for global workers in her office since going into the private practice of psychiatry and on the field with frequent short-term trips to Haiti since 2010. She has a heart to help carry the burdens of overseas workers, and is excited to be a part of this VALEO team that loves and serves others so very well.
Kayla, LPA
Kayla has had a heart for global service from an early age. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Asbury University. While serving in Serbia after college, she experienced and recognized the need for member care and developed an interest in serving in this area.
Kaylee, LICSW
Kaylee is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and attended The University of Alabama, completing her Bachelor and Masters of Social Work. She has worked as a therapist in both outpatient and inpatient settings with all ages.
Kenyon, LPC
Kenyon has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1998 and has worked in many mental health settings. He holds two Master's degrees and his Ph.D. in Counseling from the University of Mississippi.
Pam, Debriefer
After living in Chad, Africa for about six years, Pam, her husband, Larry, and her children decided to move to Columbia, South Carolina and leave behind the cold winters of northern Minnesota, their home state.
Shaila, Clinical Psychologist (Brazil)
Shaila is a Brazilian TCK (Third Culture Kid) who grew up in Holland, the United States, and mostly Austria. While in Brazil she pursued her Clinical Psychology degree and there got licensed.
Trent, LPC-A
Trent is originally from Illinois, but now lives in South Carolina, where he is licensed as a professional counselor. He has been interested in global service since the age of sixteen, and spent time in Costa Rica and the UK during his undergrad in Ohio.
Zach, LPC
Zach is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Born in Texas, married to an Alaskan, raising three boys, lived abroad in Belgium for some time, moved back to Texas to establish himself as a mental health professional, he now resides in the Netherlands.

Amanda
Upon graduation from Southern Christian University, Amanda earned an MA in Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care from Seminary of the Southwest. She previously worked in compassion ministries including homeless and women's shelters.
Becca
Becca is a Support Specialist who has worked in a variety of fields, including education and mental health, since graduating from the University of Valley Forge with a degree in Education.
Curtis, LPC, LMHC
Curtis is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of South Carolina as well as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida where he served for fifteen years in a variety of church, governmental, and mental health settings.
Erik, LPC
Erik’s heart was drawn toward involvement in eternity-centered global initiatives since his early years. Over the years, he has had the privilege of residing and serving in several places and capacities in SE Asia.
Jessica
A native of Virginia, Jessica is a graduate of Elon University in North Carolina, where she earned a BS in Business Administration. She is a longtime supporter of global workers and has spent time serving women in her local church and briefly in SE Asia.
Jim
Jim has worked in the media and communication industry since graduating from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Media Arts. He worked in communications for a national insurance company before stepping into a ministry role.

Donny, LMFT
Donny is a Marriage, Family and Child therapist who has had a private practice in California for thirty years. He has a heart for serving global workers and their families and does so both locally and abroad.
Rich, Licensed Psychologist
Rich has been married for 30+ years and has four launched kids. For 25 years he worked as a supervising psychologist at a large forensic psychiatric hospital in California. In that challenging environment Rich became well acquainted with assessing and treating severe mental illness.

Leah has been interested in other cultures since age 12, when her family took their first overseas trip together. She has a heart for the neglected and overlooked in the world.
You Na, M.D.
You Na is originally from Incheon, South Korea. As a teenager, she lived with a global worker family in South Africa for 4 years. After she moved to the United States she studied human physiology and education at Boston University.
