Valeo Financial Policy

Fees for Services

Valeo's goal is to provide quality professional mental health care and make it accessible for the global worker community. We aim to keep our service fees below industry standards in an effort to serve as many global workers as possible. As such, our fees for most services are based on $100 per clinical hour (50 minutes).

Counseling and Psychiatry Services

  • Initial Counseling Assessments are $100. The assessments can take up to two hours.

  • Initial Psychiatric Assessments are $200. The assessments can take up to two hours.

  • Counseling sessions are $100 per session (50 minutes). This applies to individual, couples, and family sessions. 

  • Medication check-ups are $50 and typically last half an hour. 

    The final fee for counseling and medication check-up sessions will be determined by the length of the session in half-hour increments. You and your Care Provider can determine the number and frequency of your sessions.

Debriefing Services

  • In-person Debriefing lasts two days, and the fee is $900 whether a single or couple.

  • Online Debriefing is spread over multiple days and costs $900 whether a single or couple.

Payment for Services

After each session you will receive an email with a notification to check your Client Portal where you can view and pay your invoice online. You may also pay by check through our admin office. All invoices are due upon receipt. 

If a third party will be paying for your services, you will need to sign a Financial Release of Information form to give Valeo consent to send an invoice to the third party. Please notify our Finance Department (finances@valeo.global) to request a form, if needed. 

If your circumstances change, and you are unable to pay for continued care, please notify our Finance Department (finances@valeo.global) to apply for a scholarship or set up a payment plan.

Missed Session/Late Cancellation

When a session is scheduled, that time is reserved solely for you. Should you need to reschedule a session, please do so as soon as possible. If a session is canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time or you do not show up for a session, you will be charged for that session. 

Insurance

Valeo does not file directly with insurance providers, but we can provide written proof that you are engaged with counseling or psychiatric services, which you can then submit to your insurance company for financial reimbursement. 

Valeo encourages clients to confirm with their individual insurance companies and sending organizations regarding their specific requirements for reimbursement, prior to the first session.

Scholarships

Valeo has a limited scholarship fund available to help supplement your ability to pay for services. Once you have been approved for services through Valeo, you may complete the scholarship application. Valeo will review your application and let you know if we can provide a scholarship for you.

Before applying for a scholarship, we ask that you first seek assistance from your supporters and sending organization. This will help us ensure we can serve as many global workers as possible. Scholarships are not available for those submitting to insurance for reimbursement.
