Why does it matter?

To succeed at your calling requires you maintain an adequate level of personal well-being. Your success as a global worker depends on it. You matter, and your work matters. There are not many of you doing what you are doing, where you are doing it, and how you are doing it.

After counseling global workers from 186 sending organizations serving in 103 countries around the world, we have learned a few things about what it takes for you to maintain and grow in your well-being and effectiveness cross-culturally.

We have distilled it down to 4 key areas for you to focus on. If you grow (even incrementally) in these 4 key areas, then we believe you will have a life of faithfulness and contentment while being fruitful where you are. Not only have we identified the 4 key areas, we have created a workbook, Field Guide for Global Workers, for you to work through to grow in these key areas. You can work through it by yourself, with a spouse/mentor/friend, or as a team/small group. We recommend that you start with the first section, and then you can complete the remaining four sections in any order you would like.
